"Big Apple or Small Egg"

I'm back in the studio for some still life painting. When painting outdoors, time restraints demand a looser, more painterly style. It's a style that I'm beginning to warm up to, and so I've applied it here, too. But, I began this painting with a preliminary line drawing - which is something I don't do when painting outdoors. For my next still life I plan to do away with that step and approach it exactly as I do a "plein air" painting.
